Mountain Bay Handbook
A warm welcome to our Mountain Bay Families!
As I enter my third year at Mountain Bay, I continue to be grateful to be part of and serve the Mountain Bay and D.C. Everest community. As students enter our doors, they are greeted by passionate and caring staff ready to help our students grow and be successful each day.
My top priorities have been and continue to be student and staff safety/wellness and student learning – academically, socially, and emotionally. Together with our exceptional staff, I assure you that you and your child are receiving a top-tier education at Mountain Bay.
Our students take pride in being MIGHTY Mustangs. In all settings of the buildings, our students do their very best to:
M – Make Safe Choices
I – Have Integrity
G – Get Along with Others
H – Have Respect
T – Think First
Y – You Matter
Our staff teach and reteach these expectations throughout all settings of the building: classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, recess, etc. In addition, we celebrate positive student choices and recognize our MIGHTY Mustangs monthly. We truly have a wonderful student body and school community.
We welcome and look forward to partnering with our families to support our students. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child(ren)’s teacher or me if we can help in any way.
Mr. Matt Schult
Mountain Bay Principal
